 525i due to wheel design. 535i had sportier wheels, and no other 5-series models were available in Australia until the 520i in November 1990 (but this episode aired well before that date).

Note that even though CHMSL wasn't mandated in Australia until mid-1989, 1988 BMW 5-series models still had them fitted (as did 1988 Mercedes E-Classes).
