I don't know if "Marquis" was also included in the model name of Mercury station wagons at the time...but maybe? However, "Colony Park" was the Mercury version of the Ford Country Squire--with the fake wood paneling on the sides. In fact Mercury was considered "fancier" and a step-up from Ford. Mercury Colony Park station wagons were started in the early 60's, I believe, and were made up through at least 1991--as I've seen real ones and pics of a 1991 Colony Park. I think this pic is a 1980 model, rather than a '79, as other pics of 80 models I've seen match & this episode was filmed in the spring/fall of 1980. Also, the wagon Bosley and the Angels had right before this was a 1979 Ford Country Squire (used during mid-end of 4th Season)...then this wagon was used next (beginning of 5th Season). So, it's most likely a 1980 as they would have updated to that year's model. Here is a pic of another 1980 Mercury Colony Park Station Wagon: ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-03-15 22:42:11 |

An interesting background vehicle shows up later in this episode. I think it is one of those rare early 80s Honda Prelude convertibles.![]() |
