Armstrong Siddeley Star Sapphire, 1958-60. The previous Sapphire 346 had suicide front doors. |

Shouldn't the large US-car be mentioned, too? And what's up with the Italian-looking Gran Tourisme behind ![]() |

And what's about the dark Sedan with the camping trailer in the middle background? Although the trailer is rather GB-made (it's nothing from Germany), the car looks very much like a Borgward P100 to me! ![]() |

Large USA car has a pic see De-Soto , you can also see more of Borgward ?? Armstrong Siddeley really suits that colour scheme , Triumph Bonnevilles had similar scheme in 1978 officialy 'Tawny Brown over Gold' the dealers called it 'shit and shite' not popular on the bikes ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-01-18 16:30:54 |

Ah, I see: /vehicle_666229-De-Soto-Diplomat-Custom-1958.html Hmm, this pic is from more far away, so no better view of the (??) Borgward ![]() But what else could it be? Anyone for its camping-trailer? Maybe its identification may help a bit. |

The dark blue at the back towing the white caravan with brown flash is probably Wolseley 6/99 or 6/110. The dark blue in front of it (red roof rack cover, camping trailer seen in De Soto pic) but behind the Bedford CA camper looks to me like a Rover 3-litre P5. White coupe discussed on the De Soto page - possibly Ferrari (250 GT?) or maybe AC Greyhound. Older black saloon on right edge with older caravan could be 50s Bentley or Jag (or??). I'm also now slightly intrigued by the dark saloon at back in left edge (queueing behind the Wolseley and caravan - in De Soto photo is towing the grey caravan with white flash). |

I'd suggest that the black saloon with the elderly caravan might be a Daimler DB18, and the dark saloon on the left is a Rover 3-litre [P5] Coupé. I have me doubts as to dsl's other Rover, the grille looks too narrow to me. |

^ your Rover 3-Litre coupe - agreed. "My" Rover 3-Litre (=ingo's "Borgward P100") - how about a second Wolseley 6/99 or 6/110?? Nice ID for the Daimler DB18 - I'd never have got it. |

Wolseley, possibly, but how about an 18/85 [ADO17]? There doesn't seem to be enough tinsel on the doors for an [ADO10] or an [ADO53]. |

Window shapes are wrong for ADO17, and I think the mirrors here are too far back. Point taken about door tinsel, but fairly sure now it's a big Farina shape (and not ADO9/38 either). |

Camera follows along the queue![]() ![]() ![]() I think I'm sticking with my previous guesses for the dark blue at the back towing the white caravan with brown flash is probably Wolseley 6/99 or 6/110. The dark blue in front of it (red roof rack cover, now clear that it has no camping trailer - it's luggage on Bedford roof seen in De Soto pic) is definite Rover 3 Litre. Nothing more helpful for the white possible Ferrari (although the deeply inset wheels look very Ferrari-ish now) or the old black saloon with caravan in right edge. |

I'm positive that the white car is a Ferrari 250 GTE, there were three white ones in UK that had fog lights in grille (standard Series 1 & 2). -- Last edit: 2020-12-17 15:19:32 |
