 It kind of looks like a large Bucyrus-Erie logo on the side, but I'm not at all confident.

 this one is finally solved

It's a P&H

notice door, body shape plus P&H were mass produced during ww2 specially the US Navy licked them

what I noticed is that on the other possibility Northwest, the side door doesn't reach all the way to the roof and it's not a one piece SLIDING door!!
