It is 1961 or later 311-1. - Limousine* De Luxe or 1963+ 1000 De Luxe. *So in Bulgarian it could be "Limuzina" or something similar. |

Of course 311 is a well known name, as it is part of the car type name, but the point is, it officially was not called this way. First it was described (in brochures) only as "Wartburg body type", then in 1962 it became "Wartburg 1000", and then some were badged as "Wartburg 312" and those were its most popular names worldwide. However I can't exclude that "Wartburg 311" could exist somwhere. So do you have pic, (or do you know?) any earlier Bulgarian Wartburg badged as 311? Maybe you have scan of brochure or something similar? |
