Skylark or Somerset |

I don't think the Somerset had those headlights, at least not before the sedan was dropped. |

The Somerset was only available as a 2-door. The 4-door was always Skylark. |

According to Wikipedia, there was a 1985-only Somerset sedan. |

The only N-body cars for 1985 were 2-doors. The 4-doors were not introduced until 1986 for all three divisions. Here's what Wikipedia has for the Somerset Regal, so I am not sure what you were reading: The Buick Somerset was a compact coupe produced by General Motors between 1985 and 1987. Buick had previously used the "Somerset" name as a trim-level package on the Buick Regal in the early 1980s. The Somerset was one of a number of down-sized cars built on GM's N-body. Destined to replace the Buick Skylark, the Somerset name badge failed to resonate with the buying public. Initially launched as the Somerset Regal in 1985, the name was shortened to Somerset in 1986, when a four-door sedan version of the car was added under the Buick Skylark name. -- Last edit: 2012-03-10 22:22:23 |

I'm reading the infobox: "Body style 2-door coupe 4-door sedan (1985 only)" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick_Somerset -- Last edit: 2012-03-11 15:04:32 |

I can tell you that there were no Buick Somerset 4 door sedans. In 1985, the Skylark X body was still offered in 4 door and the model based on the "N" body Somerset coupe was introduced in 1986. And before 1988, they didn't have the white side markers behind the headlights. So this car is a 1988 or newer. |
