@Aziz: they weren't called Volkswagen then. KdF stands for Kraft durch Freude, the Nazi organisation which sponsored the car.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. Originally the VW was officially called KdF-Wagen. Innenlenker simply means the same as conduite intérieure.

@rjluna2: they story is too long and too VW-insider-ish, but due such a KdF-haedlight-lense -maybe that, you can see at this car- some years ago a very contentious guy, responsible for classic VW's, has lost his job. "Fortunately finally" were the thought of a plenty of classic VW-freaks...

I thought that none of the Faltdach Typ38 survived? Lid handle and horn grille along with the 'Reumaklappen' would fit a 01/51-04/51 Typ1
