The earliest examples of 1970 Range Rovers were fitted with a Powr-Lok center differential, but only about 300 units received this unique feature. The Powr-Lok is a limited-slip clutch-type differential from the Dana Spicer corporation, and is still being manufactured. It required a special type of gear oil with friction modifier additives. |

According to the commentary on the DVD of "The Green Death," the producer was a huge fan of Land Rovers and Range Rovers, and was prone to insisting they be used a lot, especially in episodes with UNIT. Apparently, he had this Range Rover specially delivered to be the Global Chemicals company car in the serial. |
