Those mirrors generally only came on E-Super Duty/E-450 Edit: Okay I have researched heavily since I last commented here. Those mirrors were never offered on E-350 models. I can only find them on 'Braun' & 'Pl Custom' Ford E-450's from that era (minus international ambulances). It appears the design in question first came into use on the 1997 E-Super Duty [E-450] models. The results are a bit limited but here is what I could gather to help make the case this is an [E-450]/E-450: https://www.yorkregionalems.org/vehicles.htm - 2000 E-450 PL Custom - Former Amb. 36-1, Amb. 19-2, MICU 19-2 http://www.newcityems.org/vehicles.htm - 3 of them used by this agency(all E-450's) Here is some great information from the wayback machine. Some very rich history regarding PL Custom. I would bet now that is what this ambulance is. Detailed description of Pl Custom Medallion: Link to "web.archive.org" Shows us first model year for the E-Super Duty Medallion: Link to "web.archive.org" - 1997 Now for some archived old medallions from the early 2000's: Link to "web.archive.org" Link to "web.archive.org" Link to "web.archive.org" Link to "web.archive.org" Notice how almost all of the ambulances were slightly different. That is why I am having trouble matching this exactly placement of the lightbar/flush box lights & integrated box turn signals. You can see they existed as options by the pictures show above. I just can't find one set up exactly like that. TL/DR: 1997-1998 Ford E-Super Duty PL Custom Medallion [E-450] or 1999-2002 Ford E-450 PL Custom Medallion. -- Last edit: 2019-04-19 17:23:29 |
