dsl, it could match with Alfa 8C 2900 as you say

But I note rare the door handles for a Spyder. Or could it be a rebodied Touring?

Pending confirmation, ID as Alfa 8C 2900B

I won't say it is not an Alfa Romeo, and I don't have any better idea, but somehow it feels more French with that 'mylord' soft-top...

This one is difficult because there are 2 elements to untangle (1) the car make/model and (2) the coachbuilder and we need both to confirm definitely. I think the car is more likely to be Alfa 2900 than Delahaye - longer bonnet, sloping front, side louvres, but I'm guessing. So far I have not found an Alfa with Mylord top and I do not know who made such bodies - perhaps Figoni or Chapron??? From wiki and other sources the only likely Alfa seems 1936 8C 2900A (12 roadcars built) or 1938 8C 2900B (45 roadcars) -"All were coachbuilt to the owners specification, so few, if any, are exactly alike .... About 30 short-wheelbase 2900B models were built, mostly with spider bodywork by Touring and Farina, about ten long-wheelbase "Lungo" models were built, and only five with the Mille Miglia bodywork also by Touring of Milan". We'll probably need to find the exact car to be sure.

Lots of 8C photos at Link to "forums.vwvortex.com" none of which look Mylord, but it's a beautiful selection.

Either a Delahaye 135 or a Talbot Lago T26 Grand Sport with French Figoni & Falaschi Decapotable body of circa 1948.
NOT an Alfa 8C 2900
