Similar to Meyers Manx? |

Hmmm, "similar" is a question. At least there were dozens of companies around the world, which made (a few are still active) VW-based Buggies with glass-fibre-bodies. Meyers Manx was just one among others. |

Or more probably a custom made? |

Not neccessarily, although it's a fluent passage. Some companies had a remarkable production-amount, others have made just a handful or even single cars. Sure, some buggies were also selfmade by private persons. Others have bought pre-fabricated Buggy-kits and an old Beetle for making their Buggy. |

In the music vid Robbie Williams is seen driving a multitude of vehicles - as an homage to Steve McQueen - the beach buggy is meant to represent the beach buggy used in the Thomas Crown Affair - which was a customised Meyers Manx with a corvair engine. The buggy is unlikely to be a real Meyers Manx - probably a copy - which was then modified |

Don't forget that the Manx was not the only body that Myers made. |
