Not really. Many Depts use midsize and compact cars for Detectives and the like. There generally cheaper, better on gas and as a bonus no ones expecting the cops to roll up on them with a K car |

In the book "Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets" (which inspired this series and covered a journalist spending a year shadowing the real Baltimore Homicide department) the Cavalier was the real-life steed of choice for the unit's detectives, so the use of these here is only accurate. |
