This is the Bizzarrini BZ-2001 concept. It was commissioned by real estate developer/car enthusiast Barry Watkins and constructed in 1992; it was quite a few auto shows in '92 and '93, if I recall. It wasn't a kit or mock-up. It had a running drivetrain with a unique-to-Bizzarrini 12-cylinder engine. (I think it did have some Testarossa chassis pieces underneath, though). Watkins intended to go into production and even took a few deposits, but nothing ever came of it. So it's pretty interesting to see it turn up in a tv series cameo ... |

Chassis and drivetrain from a crashed 512 Testarossa - would have had a specially developed 7-litre 32 valve version of the 5.7 litre Corvette ZR-1 for production, but only this prototype was made. |
