The colour suggests Massey-Harris, but the tractor is one of the varieties of Ferguson TE20 which was still in production in 1956. I don't know whether they were still called simply Fergusons after the 1953 merger. |

If its a TE20 style tractor (and I too, believe it is) its Ferguson TE20 which ended production in Coventry in 1956, but it should be grey I think. It does not appear to be the Ferguson FE35 or the Massey Ferguson MF35 which were grey and red respectively. The Massey-Harris and Ferguson organisations amalgamated in 1953 under the company name 'Massey-Harris-Ferguson', but continuing producing tractors under their respective brands either 'Massey-Harris' and 'Ferguson' until 1957. The grey Ferguson FE35 was then replaced by the red Massey Ferguson MF35 from 1957. Apart from the colour scheme the Massey Ferguson MF 35 4 Cylinder Diesel tractor was identical to the Ferguson FE 35. |

I don't think it's a TE20, the front and rear wheels are so different http://www.tractordata.co.uk/ferguson/images/ferguson_5.jpg |
