It looks like a 1999 model with a right-hand drive conversion, but because the show was made for Australia, it could be a 2002 Australian Cobra. Any shots of the front of the car? That'd tell for sure. |

If you're converting a car to right hand drive, adding indicator lights wouldn't be a big problem. Anyway, the 2002 Mustangs sold in Australia were built with left hand drive and then individually converted by Tickford: Link to "en.wikipedia.org" http://www.fastlane.com.au/News_Ford/Australianising_Mustang.htm Obvious question: were Cobras included in the official 2002 Mustang range in Australia? -- Last edit: 2010-03-25 17:51:57 |

Yes "Only a handful of Cobras were made, and they were all shipped to Australia, where they were converted to right-hand drive, and side marker lights and another set of fog lamps were set inside the front bumper. Just to clear up some confusion here, while it is true that this is an Aussie-spec'd Cobra. These taillighs with the amber turnsignals were used on all 1999-2001 models of the Cobra (including the 2000 Cobra R) here in the USA as well (Cobra only, regular Mustangs and GTs got all red taillamps) -- Last edit: 2012-01-20 20:18:19 |
