Ingo ◊ 2009-11-27 11:18	Hmmm, was it common -resp.possible at all- in the 60ies for Western tourists to visit the USSR with the own car? Later on, in the 70ies and 80ies it was. I had this idea in hte late 80ies with a friend, but due the lack of money (we were just school-boys) we couldn't make it. Unfortunately I made the big mistake and haven't ordered at INTOURIST the booklet about travelling in the USSR with the own car (the version for Western people, different than the version for tourists from COMECON-countries). But I need this really - on the cover of this leaflet there is a VW K 70 to see, with Soviet plates (and rubber-glue around the windscreen) In the last years I've seen it only one time at eBay - but I haven't bid for it, because I've seen, a K 70-friend from Holland had placed a bid. Such a gentlemen's agreement is annoyingly not possible any more today, since eBay has the f.cking new rules.
