The Calvada Billboard must have been an inside joke. The Dick Van Dyke Show itself was produced by Calvada productions, which was a partnership of Carl Reiner, Sheldon Leonard, Dick Van Dyke and Danny Thomas. |

That's exactly what it was, an in-joke and there were others. In another episode executive producer Sheldon Leonard played a gangster named "Big Max Calvada" or something like that. In yet another episode Alan Brady explains his rather convoluted name for his production company, a combination of several people's names. |
