The registration may be seven years too young, but I don't think the truck is. I suspect it of being ex-Royal Navy; post-war O-series Bedfords usually had a prominent chrome badge on top of the grille. |

Bedford O-type introduced 1939, with limited production due to WWII, resumed production 1945-53. Bedford-Scammell artics for gross loads of up to 12 tons were listed as factory produced models from 1938. |
