The cab looks like an International Harvester. |

I will submit for consideration two models: DCF-405 (here is a 1969 version): http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/trucks/cal2006/oct14/dsc_3949.jpg (early 60s version) http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/trucks/cal2006/oct14/dsc_3978.jpg Note the vent placement at the back of the cowl/hood side, which seems to be displayed on the truck on this page. Here's a 1970 (yes, this movie is 1968!) F-2000-D ("F" I assume stands for Fleetstar, which this also could be.): Link to "www.hankstruckpictures.com" |

I am sure we are looking at a fleetstar as it has a raise from hood to actual fender -Loadstar is straight and the grill is not curved at all and its wide so I believe its a first generation Fleetstar. In 68 this truck would still be fairly new |

An International Harvester most certainly, but here is how early Fleetstar and early Loadstar models look like (both truck lines are 1962+):![]() ![]() (1963 Fleetstar // 1962 Loadstar) IH also proposed the 1956-63 V-Series: ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-04-06 00:12:57 |
