earlier ,similar german vehicles were built on existing 6x4 truck chassis (tatra,praga etc)..the G4 was just a carry on from that..but was made from the ground up as a heavy personnel car with a purpose built chassis..its 6x4 configurarion, meaning the front wheels were not powered..the back 4 were powered. |

not necessarily..it was only associated with hitler because he was ferried around in a parade polished one..it was actually a standard heavy passenger car for the german military..often painted grey with front/rear MG34 mounts..and sometimes had a rear bracket fitted across the trunk for carrying a motorcycle. |
