(w/o trim strip along side ridge) the cheapest HT version is Impala, no HT available for Biscayne & Bel Air) BISCAYNE = Had no side trim at all except for the same narrow chrome strip that ran the entire length of the rocker panels of the Impala. There was no chrome trim around the wheel well openings, no chrome trim whatsoever in any of the 4 tail lights. In addition to this Biscayne had no "Chevrolet" spelled out in individual letters across the front edge of the hood, but instead had a small "Chevrolet" script placed on the lower driver's side corner of the hood. BEL AIR = Unlike any other 1969 full size Chevrolet, came with no trim whatsoever on the rocker panels. It did however have narrow chrome trim that ran the full length of the car from front to rear bumper, like Impala and Caprice. However this trim was specific only to Bel Air because it was solid; there was no colored insert at all. Other than that, Bel Air was decked out the same as Biscayne: no chrome trim around the wheel well openings, no chrome trim whatsoever in any of the 4 tail lights, and no "Chevrolet" spelled out in individual letters across the front edge of the hood,(but instead had a small "Chevrolet" script placed on the lower driver's side corner of the hood). IMPALA = Had narrow trim extending from the front bumpers all the way to the rear, with a colored insert. They also had a narrow chrome strip that ran the entire length of the rocker panels. Impala came with chrome trim around the wheel well openings, as well as a single chrome ring on the inside of each of the 6 tail lights. In addition to this Impala had "Chevrolet" spelled out in individual letters across the front edge of the hood. CAPRICE = Had wide trim extending from the front bumpers all the way to the rear, with a colored insert. Not to be confused with Impala, this trim was nearly twice the width of Impala's. They also had wide chrome trim that covered the entire rocker panel. Caprice, like Impala came with chrome trim around the wheel well openings. However, it had had double chrome rings on the inner and outer edges of each of the 6 tail lights. Also like Impala, Caprice had "Chevrolet" spelled out in individual letters across the front edge of the hood. -- Last edit: 2008-03-19 16:57:44
