This is a Derby built Bentley, could be either a 31/2 litre or a 41/4 litre between 1933 and 1939. The shape of the front mudguards and the hood irons suggests that the coachwork is by Park Ward and is their standard drop head coupe, which is likely as more Derby Bentleys had Park Ward bodies than any other coachbuilder. Since there was no factory built body, only chassis being supplied, there are many possible variants and you can't see much from the photograph. Suggest Bentley 31/2 litre for the title. |
