edit- Centurion in the big picture, already listed.

The second one is British. Maybe Churchill series, or another later heavy tank. I think it might be the same one as above.

Not half, Jean-Marc, you flatter me!
We have got quite a few members with very good military vehicle knowledge. I am just good at looking at details.
But thanks for the compliment.

Back to business:
Both images show a Centurion. In the small picture the 20 mm machine gun mount is visible. This plus the missing side covers make it one of the first series, if I am not mistaken.

This means it is the Heavy Cruiser A41 Centurion Mk.I, of which the first six prototype vehicles were deployed to the troop in May 1945.

I think the A41A Centurion Mk.II, which was heavier armoured, did not have the machine gun. But images to prove this are hard to come by. Production of the Mk.II started as early as January 1945.

Later these tanks were renamed to FV4007 Centurion Mk.I.

Next to Vickers Armstrong also Leyland and two of the Royal Ordnance Factories (Leeds and Woolwich) produced the Mk.II version. Who actually made the Mk.I prototype version is for the moment not known to me.
