From RAC site: Engine size(CC) 6 On the DVLA to find the record you must enter the correct vehicle make (the RAC site doesn't need this), and nothing turns up for "DE DION-BOUTON". |

From the Beaulieu Museum website: De Dion Bouton Model Q 1903 De Dion, Bouton et Cie, Puteaux, Seine Nationality French Capacity 698cc Cylinders 1 Valves Side Output Not known Max Speed 30 mph Price New £200 This De Dion Bouton is one of the original five cars that launched the Montagu Motor Museum in 1952. It has been in the Montagu family since 1913 when acquired from a tenant on the Beaulieu Estate. At that time it was purchased as part of a collection of goods, which included a motorboat, for £75. More De Dion Boutons were imported into this country during the early 1900s than any other make of foreign car. This example is a regular competitor in the annual London to Brighton run. There's another listing on the site for a "Model Q 6 hp" built in 1904. No picture is available, but it's probably pretty much the same car. |
