FS was Edinburgh combination, but 123 KFS series never issued. |

Or rather 728 KF5 in the 1928-1950 French system. https://francoplaque.fr/site_html/f_f.html |

... or maybe 728 K 75 which might have been a Paris plate before 1950. I don't understand pre-50 French systems, but xxxx S 75 was 1950, so K might have been mid-40s??? |

Before 1950 the department codes were letters. KF was Manche. KF5 ran from 1947 to 1950. https://francoplaque.fr/site_html/f_tab7.html -- Last edit: 2024-01-14 18:53:28 |

^ Look at the 1950 column here. Seems more than one system in use, but beyond my pay grade to untangle when/why. It all depends here on how precise the plate reading is between F and foreign 7. |
