By the date of the series, I would say it's a 1977+ Matra Simca Rancho. |

also marketed as Talbot, near its end of production..but if it was, then "TALBOT" would be across the bonnet lip, not in this case, so its the "Matra" version..horrible car, not a UK success, due to it only being 2 door, tailgate rusted out like no ones buisness!! |

In Italy name lacks of an "o"...(so,incidentally,the Importer had anticipated of one decade the use of name "Ranch" on a PSA group's vehicle!!!...) |

I'm surprised it had rust problems, I thought the bodywork was GRP. |

Only those parts of the body that weren't originally Simca 1100 parts were plastic, all the rest is of typical 70s French quality |

Made for NL |
◊ 2020-02-16 03:35 |
Why specifically made for NL? |
◊ 2020-02-16 10:44 |
Back then there were no specific "made for NL" features. I remember, that there was some "made for B" - missing parts, mandatory on West Germany, as the headlight beam control or safety belts on the back seats. Now, since 27 years Schengen https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_Agreement it's nearly forgotten, but in the times before there had been some mantraps -and costs- when you bought cars or other stuff in other EU-countries. |
