 It's a 'North-Benz' manufactured in Inner Mongolia. Chinese military has a lot of these.

Why "beast"?

I drove the original, the Mercedes Benz 1017 in military version, too, at my Bundeswehr-time. It was horribly lame and slow, the weakest version of the NG/GK-range.
