Regarding the shape of the body moldings and the scipt on the tailfin, it's a '59 Chrysler Saratoga. |

The more I look at this picture, the more i see something that just a bit off. It appears that the rear of the car is indeed a 59 model. The front fender is not consistent with 59 Chryslers. The 59's had a different bumper and had heavy "eyebrows" over the headlights. This car looks to be a combination of 59 body shell with 57-58 front fenders. Yet the body trim looks to properly aligned from front fender to the rest of the body. I'm familiar with many of the export Chrysler models - none, that I'm aware of, utilized a Chrysler shell. Knowing how resourceful Cubans are keeping these old cars on the road could this be a combination of Chryslers from different model years? Here's a link for a 1959: Link to "www.forwardlook.net" and a link to a 1957: http://www.cars-on-line.com/22199.html -- Last edit: 2007-02-13 18:32:39 |

Yeah, I thought it was a 58 as well but couldn't match the rear end to any 58's |

We'd know if we could see the windshield, 1958 was the year of the compound curve. To me it is the rear end that looks grafted on. |
