A lot of Honda guys take their Acura badged counterparts and add Honda badging because worldwide they are known as Honda. This happened a lot with the Legend. I few guys I used to join up at meets in the mid-late 2000s had Legends with Honda badging because elsewhere they were Honda Legend and not Acura Legend. Also, this could be the guy wanted his Camry to be badged as the JDM Lexus counterpart ? Who knows. It does happen though.
