1971 |

Snot Rod can't be 1971, he's more of a 1970 (early/mid/late) model. |
SnotRodFanatic ◊ 2006-11-30 22:36 |
1970 Plymouth AAR Barracuda. |

I still say 71 because in 1970 the car only had two headlights. The 1971 model had four. So I'll say a mix of 1971 and a 1970 AAR 'Cuda |

maybe it has '70 Challenger headlight assemblies, "its a cartoon" |

Well truly it is hard to tell seeing as this car is supposed to be a custom hot rod. I think we can all agree it's a Mopar of the early 1970's. |
SnotRodFanatic ◊ 2006-12-09 15:48 |
Well it is a "Modified" Plymouth Barracuda. |

He's more of a 1970 Dodge Challenger![]() |

I say Challenger too. His "S/R" grille emblem looks like and is in the same place as a Challenger R/T emblem, and he has 4 headlights. |
SnotRodFanatic ◊ 2007-01-02 22:58 |
If he's a Challenger, than whats the idea with his side marks? 1970 Dodge Challengers don't have those side marks & the tail-lights don't match Snot Rod's at all. I still say he's a 1970 Plymouth AAR Barracuda, but only with 1970 Dodge Challenger headlights & the R/T emblems in place. |

Bio from the official site: Snot Rod is a early 70's muscle car and the 4th member of the gang. With massive rear slicks and a protruducing blower, Snot Rod has developed a sneezing problem that gets him into trouble. When he sneezes, his tires burn out and fire shoots out of his tailpipes. Bio from Wikipedia: Snot Rod (sometimes spelled Snotrod) is a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. He needs to sneeze and catch up with Boost, DJ & Wingo, the other members of The Delinquent Road Hazards. Some must wonder what a muscle car is doing in a gang of imports; it could be related to the mix of tuner cars & classic muscle cars & shown in the movie "The Fast and the Furious". In the mini-game Sheriff's Hot Pursuit in the video game, Snot Rod is identified as a Road Hazard. In the introduction scene of the gang, he is 3rd, with his blower & flaming left side exhausts shown. (His sneezing in the movie is also a visual pun, as "sneeze" is hotrodding slang for a supercharger backfire.) According to his license plate, seen in detail on the inside cover of the Cars Soundtrack, he is licensed to a city named Drag City & is believed to be a former dragster. Unlike his tuner friends he kept his factory paint: Vitamin C Orange. |

1971 Plymouth Barracuda |
SnotRodFanatic ◊ 2007-01-25 05:16 |
And he's definently NOT a Dodge Challenger, look at his rear, it doesn't match the Challengers, it matches the 'Cudas even the Side marks. Compare Snot Rod with a Plymouth Barracuda, Dodge Challenger & himself. |

He's a '71 Plymouth 'Cuda with dragster mods (and I rember seeing a '72 'Cuda with those stripes) and American Racing series 200 wheels -- Last edit: 2008-02-19 07:50:52 |

I write Cars based fanfiction and have his father as a 1969 Dodge Charger and his mother as a 1970 Plymouth GTX. But he does look the most like a 1970 Hemi Cuda with mods. |

It is most definitely a 1971 Plymouth Cuda. There are a couple of hints that support this. First, the 70-74 Challenger had a very defined bodyline on the sides about 2/3rds up the body, the full length of the car, where as the Barracuda/Cudas of the same years were more rounded and did not have this ridge. Just like Snotrod is, there is no ridge on his body. Second, the Barracuda had a header panel between the leading edge of the hood and the top of the grill area. The front edge of the hood on a Challenger has the piece of chrome trim that makes up the top of the grill area. Snotrod clearly has a header panel in the photo above posted by carfan. As for the year, it has to be a 1971 as that was the only year the Barracuda had 4 headlamps, All other years had only 2 headlamps. ![]() ![]() |
