This is a Lincoln Town Car if its a 4 door. Its a Lincoln Town Coupe if its a 2 door. A Lincoln Continental is a whole different model. They used to use one on the TV show Cannon. I love these big old land yachts, plenty of motor, plenty of leg room, plenty of room on the back seat for drive in movie's. |

I like these cars too. This is a 4-door car so that makes it a Town Car![]() -- Last edit: 2006-09-13 17:07:48 |

I love the 70's Lincolns. They don't make them like this anymore... And this isn't a Town Car, it's a Continental with the Town Car trim package. The Town Car wasn't it's own stand alone car until 1981. |

I don't think its even the Town Car trim, I own a '76 Continental Town Car and theres a few differences. One, there should be a hand written Town Car badge above the bodyside trim, behind the front wheels, there should be different shaped hubcaps, and there should be pinstriping going down the side of the car, end to end about 4 or 5 inches below the windows. Judging by the hubcap shape and the fact that it has a full vinyl roof (which was only offered on the Town Car trim in '76) I'd have to say this is a 1975 Lincoln Continental Sedan. Oh, and that Continental badge on the very back of the rear fender is incorrerct for '76. And also, if the first season aired in 1975, how could this be a '76? I mean, I dont know if it aired really late '75 or something, or if the models got released early, but I just thought I'd point that out. -- Last edit: 2011-08-26 11:56:59 |

That is one heck of a beautiful sedan. Exactly the kind of car I really like! Per comments, changing listing from '76 to '75. |
