It's isnt a Pontiac Superbird for me ! but a Mopar ! Dodge Daytona or Plymouth "Superbird" ? |

With that shade of blue, it'd have to be a Plymouth Superbird |

Yes, I agree Hecubus for the color ![]() Hecubus : Dodge version is Orange or red if I remember ? |

I think it was a very orange red. That being said, though, I think both the Charger Daytona and Superbird were available (and raced) in a wide range of colours (it's just that Richard Petty drove a Superbird, in this colour). |

The Charger Daytona was available in GoMango (or Go Man Go!) Orange/red or Banana Yellow. I also read that there was another colour, I thought: Lime Green (but I'm not sure, I read this a couple of months back) But this certanly is a Plymouth Superbird ![]() |

On Finnish version The King is voiced by Mika Häkkinen. |

Funny you should bring up the lime green Charger Daytona. I just saw one the other day at a Mopar show. |

The "King" is a 1970 Plymouth Superbird, like Petty's actual car. The color is "Petty blue", also reffered to as "Corporate blue" The Charger Daytona was not available in Panther Pink, Go Mango, Top Banana, Plum Crazy, Corporate Blue, or SubLime. Those colors were released in 1970 as "High Impact Paint" The Charger Daytona was available in quite a few colors, but not in those three colors...I know of red/orange, white, black, "Rallye" green, turqoise (only 2), and a very pale shade of yellow. Those are just the colors I know about, there may be more..... |

wasn't richard petty kyle petty's dad? |
◊ 2009-10-05 06:04 |
Lee Petty was the father of Richard Petty. Richard Petty begat Kyle Petty. Kyle Petty begat Adam Petty. |

Plymouth Superbird because the side air intake is on the rear quarter panel, not on the door as it was on the Dodge Charger Daytona |

The Plymouth Superbird is a most exuberant, unusual, impressive car. |
