Plymouth Valiant but of 1961.The egg crate grille had somewhat larger squares than on the 1960 models.1961 models still had the dummy spare wheel cover on the booth.Valiants are listed as Plymouths in all reference works. |

According to the article recently published in Collectible Automobile, the 'Plymouth' designation was added for model year 1961. The inaugural 1960 models, albeit sold by Plymouth dealers only, did not have a Plymouth badge, and also my original sales brochure for the '60 Valiant doesn't mention the word 'Plymouth' once. |
