The Good Ole Boys' RV, driven by lead singer Tucker McElroy (Charles Napier), who refers to it as a "Winnebago" (sometimes use this name to describe a big American motorhome). The Blues Brothers incur their wrath by stealing their gig, so they wait for them at the big concert and chase after them (along with the police) when they sneak out. But Elwood has put some strong glue on the accelerator pedal.... Bob: Shit man, can't this damn thing go any faster than this? Tucker: Uh Bob, I... think I got a little problem. "Don't you say a fucking word." -- Last edit: 2010-03-14 00:20:35 |

This motorhome also has a 440 although it is WAY more tame than the Bluesmobile's is!!! |

Of course, no one thinks to shift into Neutral, turn off the engine, and apply the brakes. |

Isn't it "Fleetwood Southwind?" |

No, there was both a Fleetwood and a Dodge. |

AFAIK, Dodge only built the chassis, same as all other Fleetwood motorhomes of the era. I find it hard to believe that Dodge could have produced their own in-house RVs to compete with Fleetwood, using what was (presumably) a trademarked name. |

1976-78 Fleetwood Southwind On Dodge chassis Some people have no idea that Southwind was made by Fleetwood and call it Dodge Southwind instead. |

Why didn't the driver just hit the brakes when his foot was glued to the gas pedal, which was glued to the floor? All he had to do was hit the brake pedal with his left foot. -- Last edit: 2017-12-13 17:01:14 |

Two motor homes were used, and like pretty much every car used in the movie, both were destroyed after production. The one that dove into the water had roughly 1,000 pounds of lead ingots in the back to keep it from nose-diving during the jump. -- Last edit: 2021-04-08 03:07:11 |

The crash was filmed at Universal Studios' manmade lake...not far from the Bob's Country Bunker set. |
