Sorry, but I have to correct my former entry.

Once again, I have checked the books ("The Rolls-Royce State Motor Cars", by my late friend Andrew M. Pastouna, Osprey Books, 1995): the design of the rear lights are making this car to a "Rolls-Royce Phantom V State Landaulet". The very first one with the new double head lamps was built in 1966 but didn't have a glass panel above the drivers compartment. The only two others ever built as a State Landaulet were manufacutred in 1967. So she is a "1967 Rolls-Royce Phantom V State Landaulet".

The Shah of Iran was in exile in Switzerland and he owned a 1967 Phantom V state landaulette : #5LVF29. I would bet $1.00 it is this one. #5LVF113 which was the other state landaulette had been sold in 1969 to the USA..

The Landaullete in this picture is definately not 5LVF113. I have that car in my garage in chicago. There is a home movie of 5lvf113 on you tube. It is a home movie shot by Dr. Earl Heath the second owner. If you want to see it type in Laundaulette Rolls and it will pop up. I spelled Landaulette wrong so it is easy to find.

Just to clear up some of the information, there were five (not two) Phantom V State Landaulettes. The first built was 5VD99 and went to the Ruler of Tanganyika. The second delivered (my car) was 5VD83. Yes, it's an earlier chassis number. But it was the London Show car introducing the new model for Rolls-Royce in late 1965 and was subsequently the subject of numerous factory photos in various locations. The car was later delivered new to the Ruler of Bahrain in August, 1966. The first built car was delivered in September of 1965. The third car, 5LVF29, was delivered to the Shah of Iran in August 1966 (not 1967). 5LVF113 was delivered to Dr. Earl Heath of the USA in April 1967, but originally intended for the Romanian government. The last car, 5LVF183 was delivered to L. van Leeuwen in Switzerland in February 1968. Hope this info helps!

This is in fact 5LVF183, the last PV State Landaulette built for A. van Leeuwen, a very wealthy Dutch man (also known as "Prince de Lignac" 1918 - 2001) who also owned the car parked in front, Silver Cloud III H.J. Mulliner DHC LSEV169.
