This car was an official Cadillac production option convertible converted by American Sunroof Corporation (ASC, Inc.) offered only for the 1984–85 model years coded by vehicle VIN. Prior to the official 1984 and 1985 Eldorado convertibles, some 1979–1983 Eldorados were made into coach convertibles by independent coachbuilders ASC inc., Custom Coach and Hess & Eisenhardt.
