Russian Wiki: Streit Group Cobra https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streit_Group_Cobra Ukrainian Wiki: KRAZ Cobra https://uk.wikipedia.org/wiki/KRAZ_Cobra Japanese Wiki: KrAZ コブラ https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/KrAZ_%E3%82%B3%E3%83%96%E3%83%A9 Both Russian and Ukrainian Wikis confirm that in January 2014, several armored vehicles were purchased for the UAE police: Link to "www.armyrecognition.com" Tracking Arms Transfers By The UAE, Russia, Jordan And Egypt To The Libyan National Army Since 2014 says they were transferred from UAE: Infantry Mobility Vehicles: Streit Group/KrAZ Cobra [2020] Link to "www.oryxspioenkop.com" Not sure it is KRAZ till I see the logo: Maybe KRAZ was for domestic Ukrainian market only? Why US origin? Russian Wiki says Streit is from Canada, Ukrainian - Canada/UAE, Japanese - UAE. -- Last edit: 2023-01-18 20:17:02 |

The Cobra is built on a Land Cruiser chassis. There's no reason to think that Cobras for customers outside Ukraine were made in Ukraine. Streit themselves say that their factory in Jordan builds Cobras. https://www.armored-cars.com/company/manufacturing-facilities/ The only Streit models that I would list as definitely made in Ukraine are the ones with KrAZ truck chassis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STREIT_Group#KrAZ_built_armoured_vehicles -- Last edit: 2023-01-18 20:00:16 |
