International Harvester Drott BTD-6 Surprised we have only 3 as these were as common as the JCB 3C until falling out of favour in 80s. They were relatively cheap and 100s of demolition contractors had them with a few old tippers. They were also used for bulk excavation before the rise of the 360deg tracked excavator. Edit - We have listed 10 these as a Drott, really they should be called International Drott. They were always known as ' Drotts' in UK but this was the shovel equipment. Incidentally this machine using a wire rope to cheese cut brick buildings destroyed Victorian England ! The mad town planners put motorways through town centres and replaced beautiful brick buildings with awful Brutalist concrete architecture most of which only lasted a few decades and has also gone. -- Last edit: 2022-09-14 07:01:42 |
