The Ecto-1 hearse in the new Ghostbusters flick is actually the once-neglected Ecto-1A |

It's not a Hearse, it's an Ambulance This is a Sequel to Ghostbusters 1984. not that Abomination from 2016 |

The gunner seat is lifted directly from the Real Ghostbusters cartoon! I loved seeing this car speeding around town! And I agree 100% with you, Phil-1. The 2016 dumpster fire was more torturous than that sh***y Ghostbusters NES game from Activision. |

How can it be "Ecto-1A" when it does not have the "yellow and black caution stickers" around the vehicle and along with the tall strobe lights and all, from the second Ghostbusters film of 1989?🤔 I like the "Ecto-1" simple set up and all. However.🤔 |

In fact, this car is BOTH. It's a Miller-Meteor Futura duplex, which means it can be used as both a hearse OR an ambulance (which was very common back in the day, when the local funeral director also provided ambulance services). |
