Identifying Hummers of this type without a side view is a thankless task. Most Hummer fire trucks were built on the less usual 2-door models. I note that this series is about the LAFD and a spot of Googling found this, a 1995 Hummer used for fighting Brush fires, presently with the LAFD museum: The 2-doors still had the infill panels for the rear doors, and the plate/VIN comes back to a 2 door hardtop (as a 1995 with a standard length cab it's a [VLC2]). Of course this could be another year or the LAFD used Hummers with other configurations as well... |
