It's one of the "Brockhouse" Indians, a lightly modified & rebadged 700cc Royal Enfield |

So will it be ok if we label it as a 1959 Indian Chief but origin UK? - and built for USA. |

I would label it 1959 Indian Chief. that's how mine is registered with the DMV. For Brockhouse owning the name, It was a licensed effort under an owned name. No different from Ford building cars in South America and badging them as Ford. Or GM doing the same thing. or Harley being built by AMF "the bowling ball people" for several years. Many names have been sold over the years many vehicles have been rebadged. Anyone in the market knows the history and if they like the bike what's the problem ?? the Enfield is probably a better bike ! |
