George Barris had a hand in this ("Car Crazy", episode 2.03). |

The part where the Thunderbird rolls off the cliff is parodied in Family Guy. However, Peter pushes it over the edge. |

was also parodied in the Simpsons ( with Ruth Powers as driver and Marge as passenger ) but it turns ( or brakes ? ) and Chief Wiggum ( with Homer as passenger ) falls off the cliff -- Last edit: 2018-01-07 17:57:10 |

Did the filmmakers ACTUALLY throw the Thunderbird off a cliff |

I'm sure the production had many T-birds in various conditions depending on what was required for filming that day. The one they sent off a cliff was likely a car with no motor, stripped of most valuable parts, painted up to match the car(s) seen throughout the movie. |

I'm still waiting for Greenlight to make a diecast version of this car. |

You do know that Greenlight did replicate the model since you posted in 2021. |
