Owner of 1957 Continental Mark II. This car was lent to the production company for the filming of High Society by the Continental Division in Dearborn. It is, in fact titled as a 1957, Serial # C56P594 but the exact date of manufacture is clouded somewhat. It was used in three scenes in the movie. This same car may have been also used in the movie Inventing the Abbots" that was released in April, 1957. It was typical for manufacturers to lend cars to movie production companies gratis to gain exposure. The car was in the hands of a local dealer, Bill Daniels Lincoln-Mercury in Dearborn, Michigan. I have heard from sources that this car was originally headed for the Henry Ford Museum. It never got there. It has a unique velour interior which for the Continental was not typical for the car because leather was used in almost every other Continental I have run across.
