The Plymouth and Chrysler cars should each be 2 stars I guess - Used only in one scene by the main characters. The Oldsmobile appears in two scenes and used by the main characters. (3 stars perhaps?) |

Fonda is indeed 'awesome' in this final movie appearance... Kid: "Dad, dad... they have a canoe just like the Indians..." Fonda: "Except the Indians used a different grade of aluminum." Kid: "Dad, Chelsea's been ************ us, they do have indoor plumbing!" Fonda: "Yeah, we've been peeing indoors for thirty years." Fonda: "I'll just read a book... what have we here? 'A Tale of Two Cities'? I've read it before, but they tell me my mind's going so it will all be new to me." Hepburn: "They're middle aged, just like us!" Fonda: "Middle aged? Like us? We're not middle aged... you're old and I'm ancient!" The casual air with which he delivered his punchlines was truly the work of an artist. He certainly deserved the accolades he got with this finale of his long career. |

![]() Replaced images with DVD captures. OK, the DVD was just one of those ones you get free with newspapers (and was in 4:3 format with letterbox framing), but the old images were very small (378x204) and low quality. |
