The train station is the Hauptbahnhof in Essen, the exit the smaller side-exit. The exit-door on the Princess 1800-pic is in the Hotel Handelshof Link to "de.wikipedia.org" The scene with the train was shot in the morning around 5:00 - then the train Moscow-Warsaw-Berlin-Paris stops in Essen. It's Europe's longest train-route. The train in the other direction stops in Essen between 7:00 and 8:00 in the morning. I lived in Essen in 1994 and I took the train to Dortmund on the opposite platform around that time. ![]() One time I was allowed to take this train with my local ticket, because my train was broken. Funny scene, when we short-distance commuters with our briefcases were standing among the sleepy nighttrain-passengers nd the mount of suitcases and boxes. ![]() |
