![]() “The scale of oil against the scale of Shetland.” 26 minute documentary on the construction of the Sullom Voe oil refinery - see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmtxSQA9ZgA etc . First half has some very pretty pictures and then lots of footage of things being dug or built. A bit cliched about how remote the islands were and how the way of life is unchanged since dinosaurs walked the earth, but interesting for Scottish islands fans. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And all Shetland films should show Mousa broch ![]() ![]() - one of the most amazing examples of prehistoric engineering in Europe. Brochs are only found in Scotland, with nothing else like them anywhere in the world. -- Last edit: 2014-08-10 14:58:33 |
