1966 made-for-TV disaster movie where a bomb is placed onboard an airliner, is armed when the plane goes past a certain altitude and is set to explode if the plane drops below that altitude. Very similar premise to Speed, which would come out 28 years later.

A loose remake of the Twilight Zone episode "The Odyssey of Flight 33", though the premise of a bomb on an airplane does bring to mind Airport, which would be published two years later and adapted to a film in 1970.

Airdate: December 13th, 1966

I know you're joking but that actually does happen in Airport 1975. Charlton Heston rappels down into the cockpit of a jumbo jet from another plane flying directly over it.

And in Executive Decision, where a Lockheed F-117 docks with a Boeing 747. :)

This movie was inspiration for Qantas bomb hoax 5 years later.
