50sParis ◊ 2017-08-01 01:26	I felt like the only appropriate film to watch today, would be one starring the grande dame of the Nouvelle Vague, Jeanne Moreau. Her best movies would be in the following years (in my opinion); although she plays her role as a femme fatale well here, as always. She will be greatly missed; RIP Jeanne.

I can relate to your feelings, Moreau was my favourite actress of the era. With regards to Italian cinema, personally I think Monica Vitti is a great actress as well, especially in Antonioni's trilogy (which are masterpieces). She also resembles Moreau in terms of style; slow, pensive, at times melancholic. They starred together in La Notte (1961), but Moreau got depressed after playing her role in that movie.

I can relate to your feelings, Moreau was my favourite actress of the era.
