eLMeR ◊ 2015-01-08 23:17	New "Regalscope" (and HD) pictures for all pages now available Some other vehicles I find also worth mentioning (as viewed with my French eyes): • The police car at the truck weigh station: (00:47:03 // 00:47:28) • A kind of toad on wheels, looking like a mosquito among "normal size" American models: (00:56:00 - The ambulance is identified here) • A second "golden Cadillac" was scheduled by Eddie's team. This one seems somewhat "younger"? (00:54:03 // 00:59:51 // 01:00:08) • Another / 2 other police car(s). Given the scene continuity, both are assumed to be the same (01:00:00 // 01:00:02) • A Chevrolet Advance-Design stake: (01:01:18) Fuel filler pipe seems to be under the bed, so a 1947-48 model year. Single rear wheels and "pickup like" wheel hub caps: most certainly a 125¼" / 3.18 m wheelbase 3609 stake (called Thriftmaster with such a MY). • A crashed car showing its private parts: (01:09:29 - Seen also in the Harley-Davidson page) • A 1950-52 Nash Rambler: (01:09:48 // 01:11:22) • A 1957 Chevrolet Task-Force 3100: (01:11:23) • A huge and wonderful "ponton fenders" coupé: (01:11:27 // 01:11:38) Does anyone have an idea of the ID of that car? • The last car / thing Eddie saw on earth: (01:11:37) Note that he is smashed on a bridge, yet he fell here: (01:11:36) The background bridge is the one were all cars are assumed to be blocked due to the accident. As in a lot of scenes of this movie, there is absolutely no trouble in the scene continuity • The last car of the movie (on the right of the picture): (01:12:01 - A Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe) -- Last edit: 2015-01-08 23:23:23

Has black roof. Right shot police car side detail has white roof, probably Ford. Good question whether producer obtained "real" police cars or converted/painted civvies for the movie. If'57 Stude is "real" police car... and movie is shot early '57 or 1956... that's brand-new police stock. Would LAPD be that generous with one of their best cars? And if real car, was police order for one (a "sample" car) or was there a bunch ordered? I've never seen one in film before.
