GodzillaFan54 ◊ 2024-01-09 22:19	Manos will be served! 2018 sequel to Manos: The Hands of Fate, in which Jackie and Tom Neyman, along with Diane Mahree, reprise their roles as Debbie, The Master, and Margaret! Hal Warren is sadly nowhere to be found as he passed away in 1985. Manos flopped after it's debut in 1966 and, aside from a brief mention in the 1986 book Son of the Gold Turkey Awards, was forgotten and lost to the sands of time. That is, until 1992 when Frank Coniff, aka TV's Frank on Mystery Science Theater 3000, found the film on a VHS tape that had been included with a box full of them and Manos served as the fourth season finale for the show, an episode which Joel and the Bots barely survived and made Dr. Forrester actually apologize to them. Though MST3k revived Manos and it found popularity among the show's fans, the rise of the internet made Manos: The Hands of Fate more widely available than it ever had been before. The film quickly gained a cult following which resulted in this sequel! The premise is largely the same as the first movie; a group of college kids on vacation find themselves stuck at Valley Lodge. This sequel was made with $24'000 and a lot of love for the original and it gets the obnoxious callbacks out of the way in like 60 seconds of dialogue. This time around, Debbie has grown up to be in cahoots with The Master, as has Margaret! Despite the low budget, it's faaaaar better made then the first. If you like the original, this is barely over an hour long, not including the end credits, so check it out!
